BRITTNEY KING

Licensed PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR - CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Anxiety Specialist

I believe living with anxiety is the opposite of the FREEDOM you deserve.

  • I support women navigating the emotional weight of anxiety, grief, chronic stress, and major life transitions. Whether you're holding it all together for others while unraveling on the inside, grieving while still functioning, or wrestling with the unknown of what's next—you're not alone.

I work with women who are:

    • Living with persistent or high-functioning anxiety

    • Grieving a loss—whether recent or long suppressed

    • Struggling with overwhelm and emotional exhaustion

    • Navigating career changes, relationship shifts, or identity transitions

If you’re craving peace in your body, clarity in your mind, and a sense of grounded purpose, I offer a space to exhale and begin again.

  • My work is grounded in treating anxiety at its root—helping women not just cope but transform their relationship with fear, grief, and stress. I specialize in:

    • Anxiety Disorders (GAD, panic, high-functioning anxiety)

    • Grief & Loss (including ambiguous and disenfranchised grief)

    • Chronic Stress & Burnout

    • Life Transitions (career, identity, motherhood, relocation)

I take a unique, integrative approach by blending Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with Polyvagal Theory, allowing clients to not only change their thoughts but reshape how their nervous system experiences safety, connection, and peace.

  • I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I began my career in college counseling centers, where I had the privilege of working with individuals from all over the world. Through that experience, I came to recognize that anxiety is a shared human experience, though it shows up in different ways. Whether shaped by the demands of adulthood, identity transitions, or the weight of expectation, my work has centered on helping women move from emotional survival to intentional peace.

I am currently completing my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, where my research focuses on the somatic experience of anxiety and its impact on emotional capacity and relationships. My clinical approach integrates this research with real, lived experience and is grounded in the core values of peace, presence, and power. I help clients understand how anxiety lives in the body while developing the clarity, confidence, and internal strength to move through it. With nearly 15 years of experience, I bring both clinical expertise and a deeply grounded presence to my work, supporting you in cultivating a more intentional, peaceful way of living. If you are ready to begin moving out of survival and stress, I would be honored to walk with you on that journey.
